Keeping Busy

That’s right. I’ve been busy. I still have this @#@$# cold. Well, it is getting better, but this nagging cough is driving me up the wall. I wish it would just go away. I also wish I got my flu shot this year. Ah, but life must go on.

I’ve been driving around the city this week looking for my next ride. Its easy to look online, but of course you have to check it out in person, and take it for a test drive etc etc. That on top of a few other errands I had to run as well. So most days, I’ve been waking up, heading out and getting home juuuust before I start work. I almost found a car, but sadly it was sold, the financing for the interesting party finally came though. It was perfect though. So, sadly the hunt continues, along with the battle against this cough and cold.

In cooking news, I haven’t been all that creative with the cold and all, so just gonna share a couple of dishes I made. The first is a Thai fish packet, fish (I used sole), covered in veggies, drizzled in thai sauce baked in a tin foil packet for about 8 minutes.

This next dish is EASY! Almost a Geeki special :P Its just ground beef cooked in some ginger, garlic and chillie peppers. Then add some veggies and voila…done. Serve with rice and good to go.

Also if you’re not allergic to milk, you can take it with a few black pepper seeds crushed together with palm sugar. It helps for me.I use to drink it when I’ve got sinus problem.

  7. Amir, I just had dinner and you are making me hungry and you said you don’t know how to cook ;) .

Lena: hmmm…a little angel gave them to me ;)

Lat: haha, thanks :) Actually now the cough is finally gone. I didn’t take meds, just zinc, honey, and gingerale. Still have a bit of stuffiness but that shoudl subside soon. Alhumdulillah I don’t get sinus issues often, usually around allergy season (spring) but the rest of the year I’m good.

Neena: I said I “didn’t” know how to cook :) I’m no chef, but if I can follow Ikea asspembly instructions, then I can def’ly follow a recipe…hahahaha.

Masood: Come come…I will gladly cook for you and Nadia. BUT, you will have to teach me how to make some arab dishes…I love arab food.

Haleem: oh I hate colds. And spring is in the air? Its gotten so cold lately. I want warm weather to stay. I used to dislike sole, but its not bad if you season it right. What style chilly chicken? Like hakka? I like honey chicken and general tao chicken.

  11. Try the hakka variety. I got a recipe – but it’s definitely not for the weight watcher though!

  12. Sorry bro, I dont know to cook Arabic food:(

  13. haleem: I’m a bit tired of hakka at the moment. One day maybe.
